Exciting Updates from SSIT Portfolio Companies: Strategic Partnerships, IPOs, and Contracts

Seraphim Space Investment Trust (SSIT) has been making waves in the space industry with its portfolio companies announcing several exciting partnerships and developments. Recently, SSIT provided an update that included significant announcements from its various portfolio companies.

One of the key announcements was the strategic partnership between Voyager Space’s Starlab and Palantir Technologies. Palantir will be the exclusive supplier of enterprise-wide software data management solutions for the Starlab commercial space station. This partnership will leverage AI-driven software to optimize space architecture and operations, enhancing resource allocation, mission planning, and overall system performance.

Additionally, Spire Global, Thales, and ESSP have joined forces to develop a satellite constellation dedicated to air traffic surveillance. This collaboration aims to collect aircraft Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast messages and quickly relay them to ground stations, providing commercial services starting in 2027.

Astroscale, a market leader in satellite servicing and long-term sustainability, successfully completed an oversubscribed IPO on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, raising significant capital to further its mission. LeoLabs, another portfolio company, secured a $1.25m contract from AFWERX to develop advanced radar technology for tracking objects in Low Earth Orbit, contributing to space security efforts.

Furthermore, Pixxel, a pioneer in hyperspectral Earth-imaging technology, signed a landmark contract with the Ministry of Defence in Delhi to develop miniaturized multi-payload satellites for the Indian Air Force.

As SSIT continues to support and nurture its portfolio companies, the trust maintains its momentum in the space industry. These recent announcements highlight the innovative and impactful work being done by SSIT’s portfolio companies, showcasing the trust’s commitment to advancing technology and driving progress in the space sector. With a focus on collaboration and partnership, SSIT is paving the way for a bright future in space exploration and innovation.
