This financing round, co-led by IQ Capital and Zacua Ventures, reflects a growing confidence in the future of automation in the heavy machinery sector. With additional support from Pear VC, Imad, Sunna Ventures, Armada Investment, and Holcim, Gravis is positioning itself to redefine efficiency and safety on construction sites worldwide.

Expanding Horizons: Global Reach and Strategic Partnerships

Founded in 2022 as a spinout from the prestigious ETH Zurich, Gravis Robotics is making waves with its innovative retrofit autonomy platform. Designed to transform conventional heavy machinery into intelligent robots capable of operating with minimal human oversight, this technology is already being deployed in various locations, including construction and quarry sites across seven countries.

Partnerships are key to Gravis’ strategy. The company has collaborated with major contractors such as Holcim, Taylor Woodrow, and HD Hyundai, as well as embarked on a groundbreaking project at Manchester Airport—the U.K.’s first large-scale autonomous excavation on a live construction site.
