Doosan Robotics unveils the PRIME SERIES, introducing its longest reach cobots

Doosan Robotics Unveils PRIME-SERIES P3020 Cobot With Longest Reach Yet

Doosan Robotics Unveils New P-Series Collaborative Robot Arms

Doosan Robotics Inc. recently introduced its latest and most powerful series of collaborative robot arms, known as the P-Series or PRIME-SERIES. The company’s newest addition to the lineup, the P3020 cobot, boasts the longest reach of any of its cobots to date.

With a payload capacity of up to 30 kg and a reach of 2,030 mm, the P3020 cobot is a versatile and powerful tool for a variety of industries. It can palletize from the floor to heights of up to 2 meters, stacking up to 10 layers of boxes approximately 8 inches tall using its simple fixed base without the need for a lift.

Doosan Robotics CEO, William Ryu, emphasized the company’s commitment to meeting the increasing demand for cobots that can mimic human motion, deliver power and efficiency, and ensure safety in a wide range of applications. The P-Series cobots are designed to cater to industries such as manufacturing, logistics, food and beverage, architecture, filmmaking, service sectors, and medicine.

One of the key features of the P-Series cobots is their energy efficiency compared to robots with similar payload capacities. Additionally, the robots include a built-in gravity compensation mechanism, inherent wrist cabling, and five degrees of freedom. Doosan Robotics prides itself on offering torque sensors at every axis for compliance and control, as well as the highest safety ratings in the industry.

In addition to the hardware upgrades, Doosan Robotics has also enhanced its software offerings with the release of its Dart-Suite software and Otto Matic palletizing system earlier this year. These software solutions incorporate artificial intelligence to continuously update and improve their models, providing users with a more intuitive and seamless automation experience.

The company’s commitment to innovation and bridging the gap between AI and cobots was evident at the recent Automate show, where they showcased a range of exciting applications, including cake-decorating robots for grocery chains, the Moodie drink mixer which recommends cocktails based on the user’s mood, and even a robotic drum kit.

Overall, Doosan Robotics’ latest P-Series collaborative robot arms represent a significant advancement in the field of robotics, offering unmatched power, efficiency, and safety features to meet the evolving needs of various industries. With their cutting-edge technology and commitment to customer experience, Doosan Robotics is poised to continue leading the way in the world of collaborative robotics.
