In a significant move for the surgical robotics sector, Cornerstone Robotics, a Hong Kong-based innovator, has successfully closed an oversubscribed financing round totaling approximately USD 200 million. This round attracted investments from a global strategic investor, various institutional and sovereign wealth funds, as well as existing shareholders, showcasing a robust confidence in the company’s vision and trajectory.

The added capital will be pivotal for Cornerstone Robotics as it aims to accelerate the commercialization of its groundbreaking technologies while driving continued innovation. In a recent press release, the company stated that these proceeds will be largely directed towards enhancing its product offerings and expanding reach within global healthcare markets.

The Sentire Endoscopic Surgical System

At the forefront of Cornerstone Robotics’ innovations is their flagship product, the Sentire Endoscopic Surgical System. The system has already received approval from China’s National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) and is actively being utilized in leading hospitals across the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, and Europe.
