Calling all robotics startups: 2024 RoboBusiness Pitchfire competition now accepting submissions

“2024 RoboBusiness Pitchfire: Showcasing the Future of Robotics”

Are you a founder of a robotics startup looking to showcase your innovative ideas and propel your company to new heights? If so, the 2024 RoboBusiness Pitchfire competition is the perfect opportunity for you!

Taking place on Oct. 16 at the Santa Clara Convention Center as part of the RoboBusiness event, Pitchfire is a chance for startups to deliver five-minute pitches to a panel of judges. These pitches should describe your solutions, business models, value propositions, and more. The judges will then select a winner and two runners-up based on the startups they believe are best primed for commercial success. The first-prize winner will walk away with $5,000 to help fuel their company’s growth.

But the benefits of participating in Pitchfire don’t stop there. Startups also receive a free booth on the expo floor, can schedule meetings with investors in attendance, network with industry leaders, and are invited to appear on The Robot Report Podcast.

To be eligible for this year’s competition, startups must meet the following criteria:
– Currently developing or commercializing robots or related technologies
– Less than 5 years old
– Fewer than 30 employees
– Unfunded or has received Seed funding

The deadline for submission is Aug. 31, 2024. To apply, fill out the entry form on the RoboBusiness website.

Looking back at past Pitchfire winners, we can see the impact that this competition has had on their companies. Tatum Robotics, the 2022 winner, developed a robotic hand-signing solution for deaf-blind individuals, while 2023 winner Glidance offers autonomous mobility assistance for the visually impaired. These companies have leveraged their Pitchfire wins to gain exposure, funding, and valuable connections within the robotics industry.

So if you’re a robotics startup looking to make a splash in the industry, don’t miss your chance to apply for the 2024 RoboBusiness Pitchfire competition. Who knows, you could be the next success story in robotics innovation!
