Upsilon Gallery Opens New Space in Milan: A Tribute to Contemporary Art

Celebrating the Inaugural Exhibition by Osvaldo Mariscotti in the Heart of the Quadrilatero District

Upsilon Gallery Expands Horizons with New Space in Milan

Upsilon Gallery has officially opened its doors at Via Gastone Pisoni 2, nestled in the heart of Milan’s renowned Quadrilatero district, as of today, November 18th, 2025. This launch marks a significant milestone for the gallery, which has established itself as a powerhouse in the contemporary art scene since its foundation in 2016.

A Tribute to Milanese Architecture

The new Milan location spans approximately 200 square meters and has been thoughtfully designed to pay homage to the rich architectural heritage of Milan. By incorporating materials that resonate with the city’s storied past, Upsilon Gallery aims to create an immersive experience for visitors, melding contemporary art with the city’s timeless aesthetics.

Inaugural Exhibition: Osvaldo Mariscotti

Kicking off the gallery’s Milanese chapter is a solo exhibition by distinguished artist Osvaldo Mariscotti. Known for his vibrant and expressive visual language, Mariscotti’s work has garnered attention and acclaim worldwide. This exhibition will showcase a selection from his latest series, The Valley, which revisits his roots as a landscape painter through a geometric and abstract lens. Complemented by his explorative linear and forest works, this exhibition serves as an extension of Mariscotti’s prior showcases in Upsilon’s New York and London locations.

This exhibition not only highlights Mariscotti’s significant contributions to contemporary art but also elevates Upsilon Gallery’s mission of hosting underrepresented voices in the art world.

Upsilon Gallery’s Global Footprint

Founded by German-Argentine art dealer Marcelo Zimmler, Upsilon Gallery has swiftly become a stalwart of contemporary art, maintaining dual spaces in New York—the flagship at East 67th Street and a private appointment-only gallery at West 57th Street—alongside a recently opened venue in London’s Mayfair and an operations office in Miami. The addition of its Milan gallery—the first Upsilon location in Continental Europe—signifies a crucial step in expanding the gallery’s international reach and reinforces Milan’s status as an emerging hub for contemporary art.

About Osvaldo Mariscotti

Born in 1960, Osvaldo Mariscotti is celebrated for his ongoing exploration of the interplay between form and color. Drawing upon the minimalist geometry of Suprematism, his art favors man-made structures over natural elements, creating a distinct voice in contemporary art. His works are featured in prestigious collections worldwide, including the Galleria Nazionale d’Arte Moderna in Rome and the UBS Art Collection.

With this exciting new chapter, Upsilon Gallery is poised to make a lasting impact on Milan’s vibrant contemporary art landscape, celebrating the intersection of tradition and innovation.

Conclusion

As Upsilon Gallery opens its Milanese doors, art lovers and collectors alike can look forward to a dynamic year filled with groundbreaking exhibitions and a fresh perspective on the contemporary art scene. With Osvaldo Mariscotti leading the charge, this new venue promises to be a vibrant player in the continuously evolving narrative of art in Italy and beyond.
