Synthotech, a utilities engineering company based in Harrogate, will utilize their latest robot technology to detect and repair leaks within live water mains without the need for extensive excavations. This innovative approach not only minimizes interruptions to water supplies but also reduces the environmental impact of traditional repair methods.

Partnering with major water companies such as Thames Water, Yorkshire Water, and Anglian Water, alongside industry experts and research institutions, Synthotech’s project aims to predict and prevent failures in rising mains through the deployment of advanced sensors on robots.
